Export Urea

Description and Applications:

Urea is a key agricultural fertilizer that supplies nitrogen essential for plant growth. It is also used in the chemical industry as a raw material in the production of resins and plastics.

Our Commitment:

We supply high-quality, pure urea at competitive prices to meet the needs of both agriculture and the chemical industry.

Description

Export Urea

Among the known elements in nature, nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) play a critical role in plant growth. Certain compounds containing these elements are widely used as chemical fertilizers in agriculture.

Export-grade urea is one of the most important nitrogen-based fertilizers, with extensive applications in agriculture and the chemical industry. This compound, known by its chemical formula NH2CONH2, plays a vital role in supplying the nitrogen needed by plants. Nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium are the three primary elements essential for plant growth, and urea, as a nitrogen-rich compound, holds significant importance among nitrogen fertilizers.

Urea

This fertilizer is highly compatible with various crops, especially cereals, making it one of the most widely used products in agriculture. It improves plant growth and increases crop yields while preventing undesirable changes in soil salinity levels. Another advantage of this product is that it leaves no residual salt compounds in the soil, contributing to long-term soil and plant health.

Globally, more than 70% of urea production is consumed in agriculture. The remaining portion is used in industries such as melamine powder production, animal feed, medical applications, and more. The production process involves the reaction of ammonia and carbon dioxide under specific pressure and temperature conditions. Initially, ammonia and carbon dioxide are converted into ammonium carbamate, which is then decomposed into urea and water.

In Iran, high-quality export-grade urea is supplied to various global markets. Countries like Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, India, Colombia, and Malaysia are among the key destinations for this product. Its excellent quality and competitive pricing have made it popular in these markets.

The production facility, with an annual capacity of 495,000 tons of urea and 310,000 tons of ammonia, is one of the largest producers globally. Designed under the license of Stamicarbon, the unit began operations in May 1996. Given the importance of urea in agriculture and the chemical industry, producing high-quality urea can significantly boost agricultural output and improve soil conditions.

As one of the most important nitrogen fertilizers globally, the proper and timely use of this compound in agriculture can enhance plant performance and increase crop yields. Therefore, ensuring the supply of high-quality urea at competitive prices is crucial, and special attention should be given to farmers and the chemical industry in this regard.

This nitrogen-based fertilizer, with the chemical formula NH2CONH2, is one of the most popular nitrogen fertilizers worldwide. Its advantages include compatibility with most crops, particularly cereals, maintaining stable soil salinity levels, and leaving no residual salt compounds in the soil. Over 70% of global production is used in agriculture, while the remainder finds applications in melamine powder production, animal feed, medical uses, and other industries.

The production process involves the reaction between liquid ammonia and carbon dioxide gas under a pressure of 143 kg/cm² and temperatures ranging from 170°C to 180°C. In the first exothermic and rapid reaction, ammonia and carbon dioxide are converted into ammonium carbamate (NH2COONH4). In the second slower, endothermic reaction, ammonium carbamate is transformed into urea (NH2CONH2) and water.
