Melamine Crystal

Description and Applications:

Melamine is primarily used in the manufacture of plastic products, adhesives, and heat-resistant resins. It is also popular in the furniture and interior design industry for producing laminated boards and finishes.

Our Commitment:

We offer top-grade melamine at affordable prices, catering to diverse industrial and consumer needs.

Description

The contract for the production unit was signed in December 1999 (Dey 1378) between Iran and an Italian design company. The unit became operational in May 2003 (Khordad 1382). With an annual production capacity of 20,000 tons of melamine crystals , this facility was designed using high-pressure technology without the use of catalysts. The off-gas from the unit is recycled back to the urea plant to maximize system efficiency and productivity.

Melamine crystals are a unique chemical compound with extensive applications across various industries. They are primarily used in their crystalline form in sectors such as rubber manufacturing, cement and concrete production, molding powders, adhesives, nitrogen-based carriers, leather production, textiles, carpets, fire extinguishers, paints and coatings, pigmented resins, papermaking, laminates, decorative coatings, and many others. Due to their specific chemical and physical properties, melamine crystals are recognized as a fundamental and critical raw material in various industries.

Melamine Crystal

One of the key uses of melamine crystals is in the production of resins, which are utilized in coatings, adhesives, and other industrial products. Additionally, formaldehyde-based compounds derived from melamine crystals are used in the cement and concrete industry as additives to improve the physical and mechanical properties of the final products. Adhesive and paint industries also benefit from this compound due to its high bonding strength and resistance to heat and moisture, making it an essential component in the production of glues and coatings.

In the paper industry, melamine crystals are used for their durability, contributing to the production of laminates and paper coatings. In textiles and carpet manufacturing, they serve as an additive to enhance the quality and longevity of products. Their ability to create durable colors and patterns resistant to light and abrasion makes them highly valuable. Moreover, due to their flame-retardant properties, melamine crystals are used in the production of fire extinguishers and chemical agents for firefighting purposes.

Another significant application of this product is in the leather industry, where they are used to produce durable leather goods resistant to wear and deformation. Furthermore, they play a role in the production of pigmented resins and various coatings. These resins, derived from melamine crystals , are used in heat- and moisture-resistant coatings, which are highly valued in interior design and decoration.

Finally, it is worth noting that the production of this prodoct , with an annual capacity of 20,000 tons using advanced high-pressure technology, has successfully met domestic needs in Iran while facilitating exports to other countries. This production unit, leveraging modern technologies and adhering to international standards, has become one of the most advanced facilities for producing melamine crystals in the region.rodo
